How to choose the right dehumidifier for you

When picking out a new dehumidifier, there are several key factors to consider.

Firstly, you must consider the size of your property and the area that you want to manage. The larger the space, the greater the water tank and the more powerful the dehumidifier you should consider. Our largest desiccant dehumidifier with a 4.2L tank can control the relative humidity level of an entire 3–6-bedroom house. However, almost all of our products are equipped with a continuous drainage option so that water tank size may not necessarily be an issue. Nevertheless, if your dehumidifier will only be used in one room then it is important to filter our dehumidifiers depending on the type of room you wish to manage.

It is also important to know the typical ambient temperature of the room that you want to manage. If the ambient room temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius, it is necessary to buy a desiccant dehumidifier from our DD range as they are more efficient and effective in colder temperatures. If the ambient temperature is above 15 degrees, then both desiccant and compressor dehumidifiers are perfectly effective. You can read more about the differences between the two from the link at the bottom of the page.

There are other factors you can consider: for example, our dehumidifiers can be sorted according to different antibacterial or carbon filters, laundry or turbo modes and digital displays or rotary dials.
